A Day in a Decade to Remember 11/12/13

Posted on Updated on

It has been 2 months since my oven thermostat failed n since then I have not been baking. Most of my snacks and desserts are steamed or fried.
Last September on my holiday trip to Langkawi I bought 2 roasted and multi functional pans. Here they call it the”Magic Pan”.

Today in memory of the decade 11/12/13 ,I made Bread and Butter Pudding stuffed with dates. So delicious and yummy!!

Hi to all my blog visitors. February last month was a very busy month for me so much so I have forgotten to post any entry.
My gardens needed my attention as the weeds in all the plants and flower pots are as matured and fertiled as the domain growth in the pots.

Home Gardening Project – Go Go Green

I’m a home owner with very limited green space for me to grow flowers and food for the kitchen. However I have managed to really harvest the food of my labour even though on a very small consumption. I have planted some tomatoes, chillies, african eggplant and now growing passionfruit.

I grow my chillies in a big black polibag to ensure the plant grow healthily with lost of compost and organic fertilizer.

This african eggplant is a rare species in Malaysia and I obtained the seedling by chance from a relative. The texture of this food is thick and smootie. Nice to eat when added in fish curry.

This passionfruit is grown from the seed of the fruits I had eaten, My husband made supporting trellies against the wire fence since this is a creeper plant. Just wondering how long do I have to wait for the first fruiting season.

Remember the honey pineapple I was talking about some time last year. I hope it will bear fruit even when planted in a big pot.

Who Am I Not To Be

Welcome 2012. I have not posted any entries this year as I was busy with my family errands. My son entered a foundation course in Universiti Teknologi Petronas (Malaysia) in the middle of January just lately.

I am in the process of intergrating (hope I apply this word correctly!) my hobbies of bakery and gardening aspects into a webpage. I have created a page in my Facebook recently under the name of Norri Bake and NRK Garden . Feel free to visit these 2 pages not forgetting to “like” them and I’ll be writing further  about my online cookies….

Both my husband and I are slowly converting our outdoor backyard into a presentably nice and not too overcrowded landscape. We’ve started transferring some potted plants especially the bougainvilleas alongside the wire fence.
